I Like Kitties!I Need A Playmate!

Abby is a sweet, playful, social, 10-11 month old petite pup who loves everyone she meets. Her alert energy level rivals the energizer bunny! Abby’s intelligence, willingness to please and fit body would make her ideal for those interested in agility or endurance training.

She is a young pup who has been bounced around, and while she holds no grudge, she gets very anxious about loosing her family. Her new family can help her over this hurdle with a few tools learned in her foster home.
Her foster family joyfully watches her wrestle with her foster pup brother for hours, zoom around dog park, and most recently getting a report card with all A’s at doggy day care! She is great on long hikes, does well off leash in safe areas, and is learning to enjoy the water.

Abby is great with her foster kitty and pet chicken! She loves to alert you to strangers around the house and sleep next to your bed (on it if she was allowed). She is great in the car, and gravitates to all kids. She’s learning to be crate trained and uses the doggy door with ease.

At this young age, Abby will need a commitment as new doggy parents to supply her with stimulation (physical and mental) through social exercise and some training. The reward will be great! She’s so sweet the owner of PAWSATIVE Partners Training has offered one free in home training session for her adopter.

Abby’s ideal home would have another playful dog with a family who is home more often or takes their dog many places, OR with someone who knows the benefits of occasional doggy play camp visits. With a little guidance, this beautiful girl will blossom into a wonderful family member that will impress everyone!

If you are interested in meeting her, please complete an online application and contact for more information.

Home Visit Prior to any dog going home, we do require a home visit to ensure that your environment is safe and secure. Once your home has been approved, the adoption can move forward.

Adoption Donation In light of the rising vet care costs associated with Giardia tests and boarding at vets, we are raising our adoption donation for adult GSDs to $395.00 starting on July 1, 2021

The adoption donations for other dogs will remain the same — $475.00 for purebred puppies, $375 for mixed puppies. (On a case by case basis, e.g. senior for senior, we will place a senior for $275.00 with a senior.)

This donation is tax-deductible as allowed by law and helps to offset the costs that we have incurred for the dog’s care and housing during his or her stay with our group. The minimum adoption donation does not entirely cover the investments that we have made in the dogs, so if you are in a position to give more, we would be honored to receive your additional donation. All adoption donations go directly toward the needs of our dogs.

All dogs adopted through GSROC are spayed or neutered, current on their vaccines and de-wormed. Because the minimum Adoption Donation rarely covers the costs associated with each dog, we ask that adopters who are in a position to give additional funds do so at their discretion.
