Abby

female

Age: 10 to 12 months

Hard to believe this beauty was running stray in the foothills where she could have been killed by a pack of coyotes. A good Samaritan took her home until her family could be located. To their surprise, no one claimed her.

Abby is a beautiful red and black 10 to 12 month old female puppy with gorgeous markings and a plush coat. When she looks at you with her beautiful amber eyes, you will melt.

She is an energetic, playful and affectionate girl. She walks well on a leash and loves to play, play, play with her toys. Abby needs an active home with other dogs to play with. She would excel in agility training or maybe even search and rescue. She is very bright and needs a job to do.

PLEASE do not adopt any animal unless you have done your research about the breed and you can commit to keeping that animal as a family member throughout its ENTIRE lifetime! A pet is not disposable–it’s a loving creature completely dependent on YOU!

Puppies are a ton of work and they are very expensive and time consuming. We hope that whoever adopts Abby will take care of her for the rest of her life. We really don’t want to see Abby lose her home and have to come back to the rescue in a few years, when she will be the one getting passed over in favor of the new puppies. Before submitting an application to adopt Abby or any puppy, please think about what it will mean to commit to this little girl for the next 10-15 years of your life. Now is her chance to find her forever home, so please consider this decision carefully.

Abby is in boarding. To arrange to meet her, please contact johnandebhancock@aol.com and complete the online application to expedite the process.

Adoption Application If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, you may submit an application online or via fax. If you choose to send a fax, please download the Adoption Application here in PDF format; fill it out and sign it. You can fax it to us at 714-773-9430.

Home Visit Prior to any dog going home, we do require a home visit to ensure that your environment is safe and secure. Once your home has been approved, the adoption can move forward.

Adoption Donation

  • Adult GSDs: $395
  • Purebred GSD Puppies: $495
  • Mixed GSD Puppies: $395
  • Special Senior-to-Senior Adoptions: $295
This donation is tax-deductible as allowed by law and helps to offset the costs that we have incurred for the dog’s care and housing during his or her stay with our group. The minimum adoption donation does not entirely cover the investments that we have made in the dogs, so if you are in a position to give more, we would be honored to receive your additional donation. All adoption donations go directly toward the needs of our dogs.

All dogs adopted through GSROC are spayed or neutered, current on their vaccines and de-wormed. Because the minimum Adoption Donation rarely covers the costs associated with each dog, we ask that adopters who are in a position to give additional funds do so at their discretion.
