Aurora was tied to a tree and left overnight, and when she was found, she was heartbreakingly emaciated. Tests revealed that she has EPI, a pancreatic enzyme deficiency that means she will need medication for the rest of her life to help her digest her food and maintain a healthy weight.
We named her Aurora because she came out of the darkness, and now we’re determined to help her find the light.
At about 2 years old, Aurora is a shy, sweet girl who is learning what it means to be safe and cared for. She walks well with friendly male dogs and longs for a family of her own. For now, her focus is on gaining the weight she needs before she can be spayed.
Aurora’s past may have been dark, but her future doesn’t have to be. She deserves a family who will love her, care for her, and show her just how beautiful life can be.
