6 week old Bennett was dumped in the overnight drop box at a high kill shelter. This sweet boy is sick and his uncaring family dealt with that issue by dumping him like trash. GSROC could not let that happen.

Bennett is only 6 weeks old at best he weighs 5.5 pounds. Bennett was put in the over night drop box at Riverside shelter and left to die.

The shelter does not have the resources to deal with sick puppies and are overwhelmed with unwanted dogs. So, he was placed on the euthanasia list. A GSROC volunteer learned of this situation and swept in to save him.

Bennett has sarcoptic mange and “strangles.” This is a potentially life threatening condition found in puppies. Basically, It’s juvenile cellulitis. The pup’s muzzle swells, filling with pustules. This causes the lymph nodes to enlarge and possibly strangle the pup by suffocation.

He is safe with GSROC now and we are frantically working to save him. Can Bennett count on your help? He needs costly antibiotics, daily medicated baths and special medicine for his mange.

Home Visit

WWe require a home visit prior to any dog being placed. In some cases, we may accept a virtual home visit using photos and videos.

Adoption Donation for All Dogs and Puppies:

$495

This donation is tax-deductible as allowed by law and helps to offset the costs that we have incurred for the dog’s care and housing during his or her stay with our group. The minimum adoption donation does not entirely cover the investments that we have made in the dogs, so if you are in a position to give more, we would be honored to receive your additional donation. All adoption donations go directly toward the needs of our dogs.

All dogs adopted through GSROC are spayed or neutered, current on their vaccines and de-wormed. Because the minimum Adoption Donation rarely covers the costs associated with each dog, we ask that adopters who are in a position to give additional funds do so at their discretion.
