Demi deserves to be pampered the rest of her life. She has a very sad story to tell. Demi and her younger friend Ashton were abandoned. They cared for each other for a few months in a rural area until some kind animal lovers stepped up to help.

This sweet lady has a sad story to tell. Demi and her younger companion Ashton were tied up most of their lives. Eventually they were let loose to fend for themselves in a rural area after their owner was laid off of work and disappeared.

Demi and Ashton slept in the open fields and bushes at night. During the day they would go to a nearby nursery where several kind animal lovers would feed them and care for them the best they could. After a few months, the caretakers noticed the owner came back to pick up some of his belongings. Demi and Ashton were gone and so was their dog house.

The caretakers worried and wondered what became of their two furry friends knowing their owner never said a kind word to them, fed them moldy food and abandoned them once before.

After several days Demi and Ashton showed up at the nursery. They both appeared to be very, very tired. Demi was limping and Ashton had blood and puncture wounds on him. It was obvious they had traveled a long way to find the only people who treated them well. They laid around for several days recovering from their journey. The kind animal lovers decided it was time to call GSROC for help.

Demi is available for adoption as a single dog or with Ashton. While they are fond of each other, it is not necessary that they be placed together.

Home Visit

WWe require a home visit prior to any dog being placed. In some cases, we may accept a virtual home visit using photos and videos.

Adoption Donation for All Dogs and Puppies:

$495

This donation is tax-deductible as allowed by law and helps to offset the costs that we have incurred for the dog’s care and housing during his or her stay with our group. The minimum adoption donation does not entirely cover the investments that we have made in the dogs, so if you are in a position to give more, we would be honored to receive your additional donation. All adoption donations go directly toward the needs of our dogs.

All dogs adopted through GSROC are spayed or neutered, current on their vaccines and de-wormed. Because the minimum Adoption Donation rarely covers the costs associated with each dog, we ask that adopters who are in a position to give additional funds do so at their discretion.
