Can you imagine how sad and scared 5 year old Five O was? He had been tied up outside of a store and left behind. GSROC heard of his story and made room in our lifeboat for him.

We can’t make some of these stories up. Five-O was found tied to a post with a man’s tie outside of a store on the very day one of our volunteer’s was celebrating a birthday. When she was contacted about this dog – she figured she was meant to save him.  He was so sad and lonely – he had no idea why he had been abandoned. GSROC was contacted to help save the dog.

Five O is safe with us now.  He is friendly to the people he meets and enjoys getting out and about for exercise with our volunteers.  A quiet home with people who are experienced with with german shepherds would be just the ticket for this big guy.  Five O is looking for a family to love and he will want to be close to his people as he may fear abandonment.   He will be happiest as the only dog in his home.

If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, you may submit an application online or via fax. If you choose to send a fax, please download the Adoption Application here in PDF format; fill it out and sign it. You can fax it to us at 714-773-9430.

Home Visit

WWe require a home visit prior to any dog being placed. In some cases, we may accept a virtual home visit using photos and videos.

Adoption Donation for All Dogs and Puppies:

$495

This donation is tax-deductible as allowed by law and helps to offset the costs that we have incurred for the dog’s care and housing during his or her stay with our group. The minimum adoption donation does not entirely cover the investments that we have made in the dogs, so if you are in a position to give more, we would be honored to receive your additional donation. All adoption donations go directly toward the needs of our dogs.

All dogs adopted through GSROC are spayed or neutered, current on their vaccines and de-wormed. Because the minimum Adoption Donation rarely covers the costs associated with each dog, we ask that adopters who are in a position to give additional funds do so at their discretion.
