Haley’s sad twist of fate breaks our hearts. She thought she had hit the jackpot when she was adopted as a small puppy from a San Diego animal shelter. She seems to have been well cared for, judging by her healthy coat and calm demeanor, but nevertheless, her adopting family allowed her to get picked up as a stray—and they never went to retrieve her! We can only imagine how frightened Haley must have been to be in that scary place AGAIN.
Thankfully, an alert shelter scout learned of her plight and contacted GSROC begging us to assist her. Haley did well on her freedom ride in rush hour traffic. For 2 hours, she calmly relaxed in the back of our volunteer’s car. She knew she was safe.
She attended her first adoption event and charmed everyone, including some of the GSROC dogs. As we learn more about Haley we will update her profile. Please check back soon!
