We ask ourselves over and over again, “Who would go out and get a sweet puppy and then let it wander away without going to find it?”

Hans is a handsome and inquisitive purebred puppy who landed in a scary county animal shelter when his family failed to protect him. Thanks to divine intervention, we were able to scoop him into our safety net to ensure that the next home he finds will treasure him and keep him safe.

Hans is in the chewing, digging, curious stage where he’s a lot of fun but very mischievous as well. He will need good leadership and a patient guardian to help him learn right from wrong, but in turn, he will provide a lifetime of love and loyalty. Hans is a particularly responsive puppy who keeps his eye on ‘his’ people and tries hard to please. With a little training, he is destined for greatness!

Puppies require a LOT of time and patience! Please think long and hard about the level of commitment it takes to raise and train a puppy before you apply. Be certain that you can look into the future for 11-13 years and know that you can provide a stable, loving home for Hans before you set out to adopt him.

Hans is vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and neutered, so he’s ready for his new home now! He is also HOUSEBROKEN and CRATE TRAINED, so he’s a perfect package! We will be asking a donation of $400 for Hans to help offset the medical costs of another dog in his foster home, Sasha. Your donation is tax deductible as allowed by law.

To arrange to meet Hans, please complete the online application first and then contact Berrysheetmetal@aol.com

Adoption Application If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, you may submit an application online or via fax. If you choose to send a fax, please download the Adoption Application here in PDF format; fill it out and sign it. You can fax it to us at 714-773-9430.

Home Visit Prior to any dog going home, we do require a home visit to ensure that your environment is safe and secure. Once your home has been approved, the adoption can move forward.

Adoption Donation

  • Adult GSDs: $395
  • Purebred GSD Puppies: $495
  • Mixed GSD Puppies: $395
  • Special Senior-to-Senior Adoptions: $295
This donation is tax-deductible as allowed by law and helps to offset the costs that we have incurred for the dog’s care and housing during his or her stay with our group. The minimum adoption donation does not entirely cover the investments that we have made in the dogs, so if you are in a position to give more, we would be honored to receive your additional donation. All adoption donations go directly toward the needs of our dogs.

All dogs adopted through GSROC are spayed or neutered, current on their vaccines and de-wormed. Because the minimum Adoption Donation rarely covers the costs associated with each dog, we ask that adopters who are in a position to give additional funds do so at their discretion.
