Little Missy was has spent most of her young life on the street. She was being sold for drug money when a kind animal lover stepped in to save her. She is now in a GSROC foster home where she is being socialized with other dogs large and small.
We were initially concerned about her gait and she has been evaluated by specialists. The orthopedic vet says while her hip is a bit loose in her joint, keeping her weight under control and avoiding dog parks where she may be injured will be best for her. Little Missy doesn’t know she has any issues – she is having a blast romping with the big dog in her foster home.
Little Missy is very smart and as a 10 month old puppy, her”wheels” are always turning, thinking about what to get into next. She is learning hand and verbal commands to sit, down, stay, and come, and is working on her leash skills. Little Missy loves to go for rides, walks, and any other activity that includes being around her humans. She is also happy to cuddle up in her crate – although she likes the door open.

WWe require a home visit prior to any dog being placed. In some cases, we may accept a virtual home visit using photos and videos.
This donation is tax-deductible as allowed by law and helps to offset the costs that we have incurred for the dog’s care and housing during his or her stay with our group. The minimum adoption donation does not entirely cover the investments that we have made in the dogs, so if you are in a position to give more, we would be honored to receive your additional donation. All adoption donations go directly toward the needs of our dogs.
All dogs adopted through GSROC are spayed or neutered, current on their vaccines and de-wormed. Because the minimum Adoption Donation rarely covers the costs associated with each dog, we ask that adopters who are in a position to give additional funds do so at their discretion.
