Kaluna is a sweet, loving girl with lots of energy. She is extremely loyal and will follow you all around the house, snuggle up at your feet or lay her sweet face on your lap for a rub. She has affectionately been nicknamed “Luna Leaner” because she loves to lean up against your leg, slide down and flop on the floor, belly up, ready for some love. She is very playful and enjoys fetch and tug-o-war.
She has also received the nickname “the bug hunter” because she finds endless entertainment chasing bugs in the backyard. She is happiest when she receives daily exercise. She is potty trained and knows all of her basic commands. She is more motivated by attention than by food. Shower her with affection and she will quickly become your best friend. She is very vocal and will alert you when someone is approaching your home, just as a best friend should. She is excitable but friendly when human friends come over to visit.
Kaluna has lived in a family with a baby and did well, however due to her high energy level she would due best in an adult family or one with older children. She has lived with another male dog for almost two years but she definitely prefers to be the alpha. Kaluna will thrive with someone who is willing to provide lots of love, daily exercise and training to improve her socialization skills with other dogs.
Kaluna knows her basic commands and loves to learn new things. Watch her video!

Home Visit Prior to any dog going home, we do require a home visit to ensure that your environment is safe and secure. Once your home has been approved, the adoption can move forward.
Adoption Donation Our adoption donation is minimum $350.00 plus $25.00 for microchip for adult dogs and $450 plus $25.00 microchip for puppies 1 year and under. This donation is tax deductible as allowed by law and helps to offset the costs that we have incurred for the dog's care and housing during his or her stay with our group. The minimum adoption donation does not entirely cover the investments that we have made in the dogs so if you are in a position to give more, we would be honored to receive your additional donation. All adoption donations go directly toward the needs of our dogs.
All dogs adopted through GSROC are spayed or neutered, current on their vaccines and de-wormed. Because the minimum Adoption Donation rarely covers the costs associated with each dog, we ask that adopters who are in a position to give additional funds do so at their discretion.
