4 month old Kiana was being given away at a flea market of all places. A kind animal lover stepped in to ensure Kiana and her brother Koda would get the best chance at finding a loving home. The puppies were extremely emaciated, and Kiana was not putting weight on her leg. Horrified at their poor condition, the Good Samaritan “purchased” the puppies and rushed them to the vet.
Once Kiana was out of immediate danger, this lovely animal lover contacted GSROC for help. They have recovered from their rough start and are now in GSROC foster homes.
Kiana loves toys and is always ready and willing to play with her brother and the foster dog in her home. Bold and affectionate, she is a very smart little girl who has already mastered sitting for treats and her meals. Continued socialization is very important at this age and Kiana is looking for a family that understands this and is willing to provide it. Dog walks, meeting new people in new situations, etc will help her become the social butterfly she sees herself as.
She loves people and a home with school age children, 10 yrs old or older will be a good fit for Kiona.
Please remember, adopting a puppy is not everyone’s cup of tea. As cute as they are – puppies demand a large investment of time, patience, and training. They are inquisitive, have endless energy and get into just about everything. They dig, chew, and seemingly never stop! Think long and hard about your lifestyle.
If you are not willing to invest the time and training to ensure your puppy matures into the wonderful dog – then please consider an older dog.
PLEASE NOTE. PUPPIES ARE SHOWN BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. THEY DO NOT COME TO ADOPTION EVENTS. PLEASE SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION AND A COUNSELOR WILL CONTACT YOU DIRECTLY.
female If you would like to meet Kiana, please complete the online application and an adoption counselor will contact you.

Home Visit Prior to any dog going home, we do require a home visit to ensure that your environment is safe and secure. Once your home has been approved, the adoption can move forward.
Adoption Donation In light of the rising vet care costs associated with Giardia tests and boarding at vets, we are raising our adoption donation for adult GSDs to $395.00 starting on July 1, 2021
The adoption donations for other dogs will remain the same — $475.00 for purebred puppies, $375 for mixed puppies. (On a case by case basis, e.g. senior for senior, we will place a senior for $275.00 with a senior.)
This donation is tax-deductible as allowed by law and helps to offset the costs that we have incurred for the dog’s care and housing during his or her stay with our group. The minimum adoption donation does not entirely cover the investments that we have made in the dogs, so if you are in a position to give more, we would be honored to receive your additional donation. All adoption donations go directly toward the needs of our dogs.
All dogs adopted through GSROC are spayed or neutered, current on their vaccines and de-wormed. Because the minimum Adoption Donation rarely covers the costs associated with each dog, we ask that adopters who are in a position to give additional funds do so at their discretion.
