Local SoCAL shelters are so overcrowded that they can house up to 5 large dogs in a single kennel. GSROC scouts spotted twin sisters squished in a kennel with 2 other huge dogs. We didn’t want to risk that one would be adopted and the other left behind to face an uncertain fate, so we rescued them both. The sisters are mostly German Shepherds with a bit of Australian Shepherd mixed in for pretty highlights. Lola is spunky, bouncy, curious and eager to investigate new things. She likes other dogs but can play too roughly with small dogs, so a family with larger dogs would be ideal. Lola learns things very quickly and is always looking for new challenges. She will make an excellent training partner!

Lola will remain on the smaller side, probably topping out around 65 pounds. Her sister has been adopted, so now it’s Lola’s turn!

Home Visit

WWe require a home visit prior to any dog being placed. In some cases, we may accept a virtual home visit using photos and videos.

Adoption Donation for All Dogs and Puppies:

$495

This donation is tax-deductible as allowed by law and helps to offset the costs that we have incurred for the dog’s care and housing during his or her stay with our group. The minimum adoption donation does not entirely cover the investments that we have made in the dogs, so if you are in a position to give more, we would be honored to receive your additional donation. All adoption donations go directly toward the needs of our dogs.

All dogs adopted through GSROC are spayed or neutered, current on their vaccines and de-wormed. Because the minimum Adoption Donation rarely covers the costs associated with each dog, we ask that adopters who are in a position to give additional funds do so at their discretion.
