Moonshadow

Moonshadow and several other dogs lost their home when their owner died. At age 6, she is loving and loyal with plenty of years left to give. Moonshadow is all black with a few tan highlights.

Moonshadow is a big bear of a girl, size large. We suspect that her owner was ill for a while because Moonshadow arrived in poor condition. We are working on getting her coat back into great shape, and we will be removing a nasty tumor the size of a tennis ball from her side. Her ear tips have been ravaged by biting flies, so she looks more like a big bear than a shepherd. Moon is currently 92 pounds so we are also helping her with an Extreme Makeover. We think she would be much more comfortable around 80 pounds.

Moonshadow went in to the animal shelter with FIVE other dogs from the same home, so she is obviously good with other dogs. She is affectionate and appreciative and very strong! Please help us find a wonderful home for this deserving senior girl.

If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, you may submit an application online or via fax. If you choose to send a fax, please download the Adoption Application here in PDF format; fill it out and sign it. You can fax it to us at 714-773-9430.

Home Visit

WWe require a home visit prior to any dog being placed. In some cases, we may accept a virtual home visit using photos and videos.

Adoption Donation for All Dogs and Puppies:

$495

This donation is tax-deductible as allowed by law and helps to offset the costs that we have incurred for the dog’s care and housing during his or her stay with our group. The minimum adoption donation does not entirely cover the investments that we have made in the dogs, so if you are in a position to give more, we would be honored to receive your additional donation. All adoption donations go directly toward the needs of our dogs.

All dogs adopted through GSROC are spayed or neutered, current on their vaccines and de-wormed. Because the minimum Adoption Donation rarely covers the costs associated with each dog, we ask that adopters who are in a position to give additional funds do so at their discretion.
