Ophelia came to GSROC from a public shelter. As soon as she arrived, we noticed that something wasn’t right. At her vet exam, we learned that she had a badly broken hip that the shelter had failed to notice. Thanks to generous supporters, we were able to scratch together the funds to perform surgery, and Ophelia is feeling so much better now. She is a happy, silly, curious puppy who will lead a full life. Ophelia may have a lingering limp, but she is not in pain. She is ready to find an awesome family to show her how it feels to be cherished.
Thanks to kind supporters, Ophelia had her FHO surgery to help her walk without pain. It was a complicated surgery and she is resting up. She will be on limited activity for a few weeks before she is ready for adoption. Ophelia would love to find a foster home to look after her while she is recovering. Could it be you?
Ophelia came to us when she was only 5 months old, yet she required major surgery to repair a badly broken leg bone. Ophelia has recovered from her surgery and now would love nothing more than a loving home to call her own!

WWe require a home visit prior to any dog being placed. In some cases, we may accept a virtual home visit using photos and videos.
This donation is tax-deductible as allowed by law and helps to offset the costs that we have incurred for the dog’s care and housing during his or her stay with our group. The minimum adoption donation does not entirely cover the investments that we have made in the dogs, so if you are in a position to give more, we would be honored to receive your additional donation. All adoption donations go directly toward the needs of our dogs.
All dogs adopted through GSROC are spayed or neutered, current on their vaccines and de-wormed. Because the minimum Adoption Donation rarely covers the costs associated with each dog, we ask that adopters who are in a position to give additional funds do so at their discretion.
