It hurt our hearts to look at Oreo’s pictures, so despite being overflowing with orphan dogs, we had to make room for this forgotten boy. We learned that he had been held FOR MONTHS as evidence in a police investigation. We hope that the person who did this to him gets some significant jail time.

Oreo will undergo extensive treatments to soothe his sores and build his strength. He requires a series of medicated baths and injections in order to feel better. Can you help Oreo by pledging a gift in any amount for his care?

Oreo is in a foster home & is feeling & looking a lot better. He no longer needs any medical attention & is working on growing a beautiful new coat.

Oreo has really come out of his shell since he has been in a foster home. We found out that Oreo loves to play, play & play. Oreo thinks the party begins when he arrives. Oreo gets along great with all his foster brothers & sisters both big & small & ignores cats. He also loves children. Oreo’s absolute favorite thing is to be around his people.
It was obvious that when Oreo first came into his foster home he had never been inside a home before. Oreo is learning his house manners & is potty trained.
Oreo is looking for his forever home. If you think you would like to share your home & life with Oreo please fill out an adoption application & someone will contact you.

Adoption Donation

  • Adult GSDs: $395
  • Purebred GSD Puppies: $495
  • Mixed GSD Puppies: $395
  • Special Senior-to-Senior Adoptions: $295
This donation is tax-deductible as allowed by law and helps to offset the costs that we have incurred for the dog’s care and housing during his or her stay with our group. The minimum adoption donation does not entirely cover the investments that we have made in the dogs, so if you are in a position to give more, we would be honored to receive your additional donation. All adoption donations go directly toward the needs of our dogs.

All dogs adopted through GSROC are spayed or neutered, current on their vaccines and de-wormed. Because the minimum Adoption Donation rarely covers the costs associated with each dog, we ask that adopters who are in a position to give additional funds do so at their discretion.
