This darling little fellow was dumped like garbage at a local dog park. The cruel and callous people drove off in their car and left this little 3 month old baby behind to face whatever fate had in store for him… Luckily, for little Quinby, fate was on his side that day, and so was GSROC. Saunders, a client of Doggietown USA Doggietown USA, The Place For Dogs To Play And Stay! and good Samaritan, happened to be at the park. He called Denise, owner of Doggietown (where some of our rescue dogs love to go) and Denise called GSROC volunteer Shawn. As soon as we heard about this little abandoned baby, we rushed to get him to safety. It took many animal loving people working together to make this happen… We scooped Quinby up and rushed him to the vet. Quinby has been fully vaccinated, and will be neutered. He will be microchipped as well.
Quinby is a beautiful 3 month old GSD. His paws are HUGE and we think he is going to be a big boy. At 3 months he is already 42 lbs !!! He is also a puppy… And that means he will chew your shoes, dig in your backyard planters and just might try and eat your sofa…

We have gotten to know baby Quinby a little better and what a doll baby he is !!! He is what we call a “Velcro dog” He stays right by your side and does not take his eyes off his people. When going for a walk he does not need a long leash as he is happiest right by your side. He is also the type of dog that keeps a close watch on his people to make sure they are safe. Quinby is a little nervous about being abandoned again (who can blame him ?) and would do best in a home where he has a playmate or can mostly be with his people. He is as devoted as they come, and will make someone a very loyal and loving companion…
He is also a 12 to 15 year commitment… Please think long and hard before you apply to adopt him. However, if you can deal with the antics of a puppy and can promise to love and cherish him for the next 12 to 15 years… Fill out our online application. If you have any questions please call Shawn at 714/206-9002 or email at ShawnGSDRescue@aol.com

Home Visit Prior to any dog going home, we do require a home visit to ensure that your environment is safe and secure. Once your home has been approved, the adoption can move forward.
Adoption Donation In light of the rising vet care costs associated with Giardia tests and boarding at vets, we are raising our adoption donation for adult GSDs to $395.00 starting on July 1, 2021
The adoption donations for other dogs will remain the same — $475.00 for purebred puppies, $375 for mixed puppies. (On a case by case basis, e.g. senior for senior, we will place a senior for $275.00 with a senior.)
This donation is tax-deductible as allowed by law and helps to offset the costs that we have incurred for the dog’s care and housing during his or her stay with our group. The minimum adoption donation does not entirely cover the investments that we have made in the dogs, so if you are in a position to give more, we would be honored to receive your additional donation. All adoption donations go directly toward the needs of our dogs.
All dogs adopted through GSROC are spayed or neutered, current on their vaccines and de-wormed. Because the minimum Adoption Donation rarely covers the costs associated with each dog, we ask that adopters who are in a position to give additional funds do so at their discretion.
