Ricky is a 3 month-old boy with soulful dark eyes and a velvety soft coat. His coloring indicates there may be Husky or other working breed in his background. But what Ricky lacks in pedigree is made up for in his sweet, happy disposition. He loves everyone he meets, greeting friends and strangers alike with kisses and a wagging tail. Ricky shares his foster home with an assortment of adult dogs and a surly senior cat. He exhibits excellent puppy social social skills, approaching the adult dogs in a respectful manner. He has also learned to avoid the ill-tempered kitty. While he would make a wonderful friend for another friendly dog, Ricky is independent and people-oriented enough to be an only dog–as long as there is someone home to play with for a good portion of the day.
This pup is the perfect age for puppy kindergarten–in fact he’s already begun early clicker training. He’s learned to walk on a leash and sit when asked–He will stare at his handler as if to say, “what’s next?” He’s also learning to come when called and lie down on command. He loves to play tug the rope after a puppy lesson.
Ricky is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, dewormed, and will be microchipped before going home. Although puppies are a bundle of fun, please carefully consider the time and energy required to properly raise one. This little guy is full of potential and deserves to be cherished for the rest of his life. Home Visit Prior to any dog going home, we do require a home visit to ensure that your environment is safe and secure. Once your home has been approved, the adoption can move forward.
Adoption Donation In light of the rising vet care costs associated with Giardia tests and boarding at vets, we are raising our adoption donation for adult GSDs to $395.00 starting on July 1, 2021
The adoption donations for other dogs will remain the same — $475.00 for purebred puppies, $375 for mixed puppies. (On a case by case basis, e.g. senior for senior, we will place a senior for $275.00 with a senior.)
This donation is tax-deductible as allowed by law and helps to offset the costs that we have incurred for the dog’s care and housing during his or her stay with our group. The minimum adoption donation does not entirely cover the investments that we have made in the dogs, so if you are in a position to give more, we would be honored to receive your additional donation. All adoption donations go directly toward the needs of our dogs.
All dogs adopted through GSROC are spayed or neutered, current on their vaccines and de-wormed. Because the minimum Adoption Donation rarely covers the costs associated with each dog, we ask that adopters who are in a position to give additional funds do so at their discretion.
