This 3 year old girl is Sasha--a classic black and tan girl with an very pretty face. Sasha weighs around 65 pounds and will stay at this weight. She likes large dogs but no cats, rabbits or small dogs, please!

Sasha was rescued by a Good Samaritan who found her searching for food and friendship. The kind person shuttled Sasha to safety and tried for two months to find Sasha’s original owner. When all of her efforts failed, German Shepherd Rescue was called to help.

Sasha loves to go for car rides and walks. She pulls a bit on the leash and would benefit a great deal from obedience classes. But, what she lacks in formal training, Sasha makes up in affection and loyalty! Sasha has told us that big dogs are okay with her (her best friends in her foster home were a Great Dane and a Dalmatian) but she does not wish to share her space with smaller dogs, cats, rabbits or birds. She is extremely bright and responds to instruction quickly.

If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, you may submit an application online or via fax. If you choose to send a fax, please download the Adoption Application here in PDF format; fill it out and sign it. You can fax it to us at 714-773-9430.

Home Visit

WWe require a home visit prior to any dog being placed. In some cases, we may accept a virtual home visit using photos and videos.

Adoption Donation for All Dogs and Puppies:

$495

This donation is tax-deductible as allowed by law and helps to offset the costs that we have incurred for the dog’s care and housing during his or her stay with our group. The minimum adoption donation does not entirely cover the investments that we have made in the dogs, so if you are in a position to give more, we would be honored to receive your additional donation. All adoption donations go directly toward the needs of our dogs.

All dogs adopted through GSROC are spayed or neutered, current on their vaccines and de-wormed. Because the minimum Adoption Donation rarely covers the costs associated with each dog, we ask that adopters who are in a position to give additional funds do so at their discretion.
