Serenity is a 1 year old lab. Her best buddy, Duke, was turned into us, and we could not leave her behind. Serenity is gentle, happy and eager to have a special family to call her own.

Faced with a tough choice about whether to take Serenity under the rescue arm of German Shepherd Rescue, we realized that we could not take in her brother “Duke” and stand by while Serenity was dumped at an animal shelter when her owner fell on financial hardship. Although we are always concerned about making ends meet from month to month, we decided that it was not Serenity’s fault that she was not a shepherd. We have her safely in our care and she has shown us her gratitude with wiggles and doggie kisses. She has been a big hit at our adoption events, so if you are looking for a lovely family companion that will remain in the mid-sized catagory, Serenity could be just the right match!

If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, you may submit an application online or via fax. If you choose to send a fax, please download the Adoption Application here in PDF format; fill it out and sign it. You can fax it to us at 714-773-9430.

Home Visit

WWe require a home visit prior to any dog being placed. In some cases, we may accept a virtual home visit using photos and videos.

Adoption Donation for All Dogs and Puppies:

$495

This donation is tax-deductible as allowed by law and helps to offset the costs that we have incurred for the dog’s care and housing during his or her stay with our group. The minimum adoption donation does not entirely cover the investments that we have made in the dogs, so if you are in a position to give more, we would be honored to receive your additional donation. All adoption donations go directly toward the needs of our dogs.

All dogs adopted through GSROC are spayed or neutered, current on their vaccines and de-wormed. Because the minimum Adoption Donation rarely covers the costs associated with each dog, we ask that adopters who are in a position to give additional funds do so at their discretion.
