Shasta is a gorgeous 7 year old female who is the perfect companion! She is good with other dogs, and is very easy going.

Adoption Application

Pretty Shasta waited patiently for a long time in a crowded animal shelter, but nobody came for her. Shelter volunteers recognized her sweet nature and when they begged us to help, GSROC found space for this lovely, deserving creature.

Seasoned and savvy volunteers know that middle-aged and senior German Shepherds make superb companions. With their silly puppy years behind them, they are ready to settle down and enjoy whatever their people want to do. A walk in the park, a ride in the car, or an afternoon snooze are some of their favorite activities.

Shasta is no exception. She LOVES to walk and will remain politely by your side on a loose leash. She has a luxurious silver and cream coat and feels like a teddy bear when hugged. Shasta will sit for a treat but because she needs to shed a few pounds, she needs to cut back a bit on those! With regular exercise and a healthy diet, she will soon have her girlish figure back. She is friendly with other dogs her own size but we are not sure about cats yet.

Home Visit

WWe require a home visit prior to any dog being placed. In some cases, we may accept a virtual home visit using photos and videos.

Adoption Donation for All Dogs and Puppies:

$495

This donation is tax-deductible as allowed by law and helps to offset the costs that we have incurred for the dog’s care and housing during his or her stay with our group. The minimum adoption donation does not entirely cover the investments that we have made in the dogs, so if you are in a position to give more, we would be honored to receive your additional donation. All adoption donations go directly toward the needs of our dogs.

All dogs adopted through GSROC are spayed or neutered, current on their vaccines and de-wormed. Because the minimum Adoption Donation rarely covers the costs associated with each dog, we ask that adopters who are in a position to give additional funds do so at their discretion.
