Sheppy

Age: 3 years
Gender: male
Sheppy is a handsome young boy with a beautiful sable coat. He is 3 years old and 100 lbs of pure shepherd!

This young dog was taken to the shelter when his owner lost his job and was unable to care for him. Sheppy does not know what this means, he just knows his owner left him in this scary place and never came back!

Sheppy is a 3 year old sable. He is a big boy and looks thin at 96 lbs! He should probably fill out to at least 105 lbs when he gets some proper nutrition in a loving home.

Sheppy loves all people, big and small but would probably be a little too much for really small children as he would probably knock them right over when he passed by them due to his size! He needs a little work on walking on a leash, but nothing a little obedience training won’t cure. Sheppy is also already housebroken.

Sheppy is a little too tempermental to be around other dogs, so it would be best if he was an only fur-child! He also has no interest in befriending kitties, so Sheppy needs a feline-free environment.

Sheppy came to us with a condition called “entropion”, which is a result of ingrown eyelashes. He had surgery to correct this painful condition, and is recovering very nicely!

Adoption Donation for All Dogs and Puppies:

$495

This donation is tax-deductible as allowed by law and helps to offset the costs that we have incurred for the dog’s care and housing during his or her stay with our group. The minimum adoption donation does not entirely cover the investments that we have made in the dogs, so if you are in a position to give more, we would be honored to receive your additional donation. All adoption donations go directly toward the needs of our dogs.

All dogs adopted through GSROC are spayed or neutered, current on their vaccines and de-wormed. Because the minimum Adoption Donation rarely covers the costs associated with each dog, we ask that adopters who are in a position to give additional funds do so at their discretion.
