Silver is a beautiful and sweet 21month old Beauty. She is healthy and on the smaller side weighing approx 60lbs. She is very submissive and gets along with any size dog. She also likes small children and is gentle but protective of them. We think she will do fine with cats too because she ignored them when they entered her yard and she enjoyed the company of a 4lb Yorkie. Silver is the offspring of a Pure White German Shepherd and a Pure Classic Black and Tan German Shepherd. She was purchased from a Breeder as a puppy. Over one year later the couple moved into an apartment and sent her to the local shelter because they could not locate the Breeder to return her. She spent 3 weeks there until the Breeder could be located. She was then adopted out to the Breeder spayed. Finding her useless, the Breeder asked us to help find her a new home.

Silver spent a lot of time off leash with her owners and stays close by. She will need a refresher course with her basic commands. She was also house broken but may need to be reminded while settling with her new family. She also sits calmly on car rides and likes to look out the window.

Silver is spayed, current on all her vaccinations and microchipped. She is a wonderful gentle loving dog yearning for a loving family that will give her the forever home she deserves.

Home Visit Prior to any dog going home, we do require a home visit to ensure that your environment is safe and secure. Once your home has been approved, the adoption can move forward.

Adoption Donation In light of the rising vet care costs associated with Giardia tests and boarding at vets, we are raising our adoption donation for adult GSDs to $395.00 starting on July 1, 2021

The adoption donations for other dogs will remain the same — $475.00 for purebred puppies, $375 for mixed puppies. (On a case by case basis, e.g. senior for senior, we will place a senior for $275.00 with a senior.)

This donation is tax-deductible as allowed by law and helps to offset the costs that we have incurred for the dog’s care and housing during his or her stay with our group. The minimum adoption donation does not entirely cover the investments that we have made in the dogs, so if you are in a position to give more, we would be honored to receive your additional donation. All adoption donations go directly toward the needs of our dogs.

All dogs adopted through GSROC are spayed or neutered, current on their vaccines and de-wormed. Because the minimum Adoption Donation rarely covers the costs associated with each dog, we ask that adopters who are in a position to give additional funds do so at their discretion.
