Sweet Sullivan (AKA Sully) was dealt a sad lot in life...at just 5 months old, he is BLIND. He navigates quite well using his sense of smell and his hearing but he requires a special home.

Adoption Application

Some horrible monster abandoned Sully in the desert to fend for himself. A kind local resident found Sully wandering near Joshua Tree and took him in. The good samaritan gave him water, food and a safe place to stay as the first leg of Sully’s rescue relay. Next, a heroic volunteer from GSROC drove 110 miles EACH WAY to the desert to pick this sweet puppy up and get him into our safety net. He will receive a complete examination by our specialists, including an eye exam to determine if there is anything that we can do to restore his vision. Sully is an affectionate and forgiving puppy who just wants to be someone’s special boy. He gets along very well with other dogs and draws his cues from them.

Home Visit

WWe require a home visit prior to any dog being placed. In some cases, we may accept a virtual home visit using photos and videos.

Adoption Donation for All Dogs and Puppies:

$495

This donation is tax-deductible as allowed by law and helps to offset the costs that we have incurred for the dog’s care and housing during his or her stay with our group. The minimum adoption donation does not entirely cover the investments that we have made in the dogs, so if you are in a position to give more, we would be honored to receive your additional donation. All adoption donations go directly toward the needs of our dogs.

All dogs adopted through GSROC are spayed or neutered, current on their vaccines and de-wormed. Because the minimum Adoption Donation rarely covers the costs associated with each dog, we ask that adopters who are in a position to give additional funds do so at their discretion.
