This brave momma dog had 6 puppies in a cold, noisy, scary animal shelter. After delivering, she became very sick and nearly died from infection. Fortunately, Tasia is well on the mend now and looking for happiness.

Adoption Application

Tasia is a gorgeous 3 year old female who was tossed away by her uncaring owner. She is recovering from a complex surgery that was necessary to save her life. She is gaining strength and spirit every day and is now ready for adoption.

UPDATE 7/5/07

Tasia has been in a wonderful foster home for past week, and her foster mom as given us some good insight to her personality.

Tasia is already housetrained and is super-duper sweet! She is a very gentle and mellow girl, and does wonderfully with all dogs and people. She has even been accused of liking kitties! A guinea pig in the house does draw her curiosity.

At only 51 lbs, Tasia is probably going to remain on the petite size, with an ideal weight being around 60 lbs. She stays with the “pack” of dogs she is living with when on walks, and does not stray. She is a little sensitive around loud noises and unexpected movements, so a quieter home environment would be ideal.

Home Visit

WWe require a home visit prior to any dog being placed. In some cases, we may accept a virtual home visit using photos and videos.

Adoption Donation for All Dogs and Puppies:

$495

This donation is tax-deductible as allowed by law and helps to offset the costs that we have incurred for the dog’s care and housing during his or her stay with our group. The minimum adoption donation does not entirely cover the investments that we have made in the dogs, so if you are in a position to give more, we would be honored to receive your additional donation. All adoption donations go directly toward the needs of our dogs.

All dogs adopted through GSROC are spayed or neutered, current on their vaccines and de-wormed. Because the minimum Adoption Donation rarely covers the costs associated with each dog, we ask that adopters who are in a position to give additional funds do so at their discretion.
