Teddi Bear

I'm Housebroken!CHECK OUT MY NEW PHOTOS!No cats or small dogs

Teddi Bear is a beautiful, spirited girl who is looking for a home of her own.
She is highly intelligent and has enormous potential, but she needs professional training to help focus her energy and intellect.
Teddi Bear likes learning new things and must have routine and boundaries.  She is currently in a GSROC foster home and follows the lead of the dominant male dog.     Due to her high prey drive, she is best suited for a home with no small animals or small children.  Her exuberance may knock over small children.  Older children, teenagers would be fine..

Teddi Bear is crate trained and housebroken.  She walks easily on a leash.    She has made great strides and continuation of training is a MUST for this girl.   She would love to be entered into some activity, such as scent work or agility.  She is crammed with puppy energy and so smart – she knows she will excel.   She is a confident girl, alert to her surroundings and likes to be aware of everything around her.

Puppies are always cute and cuddly – but they are not born with all the knowledge they need to develop into a wonderful adult. That is the job of the family that adopts him.  Training and structure are vital components of a puppy’s success.

Please remember, adopting a puppy is not everyone’s cup of tea.  As cute as they are – puppies demand a large investment of time, patience, and training.  They are inquisitive, have endless energy and get into just about everything.  They dig, chew, and seemingly never stop! Think long and hard about your lifestyle.

If you are not willing to invest the time and training to ensure your puppy matures into the wonderful dog – then please consider an older dog.

Home Visit Prior to any dog going home, we do require a home visit to ensure that your environment is safe and secure. Once your home has been approved, the adoption can move forward.

Adoption Donation In light of the rising vet care costs associated with Giardia tests and boarding at vets, we are raising our adoption donation for adult GSDs to $395.00 starting on July 1, 2021

The adoption donations for other dogs will remain the same — $475.00 for purebred puppies, $375 for mixed puppies. (On a case by case basis, e.g. senior for senior, we will place a senior for $275.00 with a senior.)

This donation is tax-deductible as allowed by law and helps to offset the costs that we have incurred for the dog’s care and housing during his or her stay with our group. The minimum adoption donation does not entirely cover the investments that we have made in the dogs, so if you are in a position to give more, we would be honored to receive your additional donation. All adoption donations go directly toward the needs of our dogs.

All dogs adopted through GSROC are spayed or neutered, current on their vaccines and de-wormed. Because the minimum Adoption Donation rarely covers the costs associated with each dog, we ask that adopters who are in a position to give additional funds do so at their discretion.
