Two-year-old Tucker was hit by a car and left to die by the side of the road. German Shepherd Rescue found him in an animal shelter suffering with a badly injured front leg.

Adoption Application

Poor Tucker hasn’t had the best of life yet, but we know that we will turn that around for him when we find him a wonderful, loving home. Tucker’s previous owners let him escape the yard without any ID on, then didn’t reclaim him from the animal shelter when he ended up there with a broken leg from a car accident. He is recovering nicely thanks to the love and compassion of our volunteer team, but like all loyal shepherds, Tucker longs for a person or family of his own.

Tucker is a medium-sized guy who will probably fill out to be around 75-80 pounds. He has been recuperating, for his bone still needs to heal a bit. There may always be a bump in that spot, but it is just cosmetic.

Tucker would do best in an active home where he can run and play. If bored, he will likely dig. A dog playmate would be best for Tucker, and a stay at home person would be ideal. Tucker is already housebroken.

Home Visit

WWe require a home visit prior to any dog being placed. In some cases, we may accept a virtual home visit using photos and videos.

Adoption Donation for All Dogs and Puppies:

$495

This donation is tax-deductible as allowed by law and helps to offset the costs that we have incurred for the dog’s care and housing during his or her stay with our group. The minimum adoption donation does not entirely cover the investments that we have made in the dogs, so if you are in a position to give more, we would be honored to receive your additional donation. All adoption donations go directly toward the needs of our dogs.

All dogs adopted through GSROC are spayed or neutered, current on their vaccines and de-wormed. Because the minimum Adoption Donation rarely covers the costs associated with each dog, we ask that adopters who are in a position to give additional funds do so at their discretion.
