When our Beloved Petra died of lymphoma we were devastated, It happened so quickly. My wife was so sad and when I said lets get another puppy, she said It’s too soon. Well I went online looking for puppies and found gsroc. There was a dog by the name of Roxy on the site and I told her that these dogs don’t have the time for her to wait, so we adopted Roxy. What a little sweetheart! However we have another shepherd, Kitri who wasn’t exactly thrilled with this new arrival, but put up with her. Then we adopted Mama dog, now renamed Amber and Kitri was again put off being eight and set in her grouchy ways. Well after a couple of weeks of pack order squabbles everyone settled down and Kitri now thinks she is the queen and the other two are her ladies in waiting! She is also very happy with her new buddies, playing with them like she’s a puppy again! I can’t thank you guys enough for saving these wonderful dogs and would like to tell others that you don’t always have to have a puppy when there are so many older dogs out there that need homes and a family to love them. Thanks to all the volunteers at gsroc for making a new life for these dogs and others like them.
