Welcome to the latest and greatest. This is where we write about our events and what we have been doing lately. You can see what others (media) have been reporting and writing about our 'furry kids' and our organization. Fortunately, there is good news between all the heartache and tough times. We have been blessed with wonderful adopters, volunteers and generous people who have donated their time, contributed money, food, and other valuable donations. You will be able to meet some of them on these pages.
Thanks to the hard work of our volunteers, friends and supporters, GSROC came in first in the recent PetMeds Cares contest. We are so grateful to all of you who helped us accomplish this! We have so many dogs that need specialized care and urgent treatment. This prize will help us provide some of that.
GSROC wants to thank everyone who voted in the DGP contest. Your involvement and support helped us win $500.00! Money desperately needed to pay our mounting vet bills. We have many dogs that need surgery and other costly treatment.
GSROC is grateful for the support of our adopter Tim Ludeke and More Spin Tennis Academy! Tim is the adopter of Starsky, now known as Hank, and he wanted to help GSROC and the dogs we care for. Recently, Tim, a Certified Elite Tennis Professional and Coach, put on a tennis clinic to raise funds for us. There were over 20 participants who were able to test new tennis equipment, receive instruction from various tennis professionals and play in a mini-tournament. A good time was had by all! We appreciated his hard work in organizing this fund-raising event. Thank you to Tim and his sidekick Hank!
GSROC wanted to show our respect to Anaheim PD’s K9 Bruno. On Monday, July 27, 2016 we planted a tree in honor of Anaheim Police Department K9 Bruno, who was shot in the line of duty in March 2014 and passed away from complications of from his injuries in May 2016. Our volunteer was there with his family for the ceremony. He will be missed by many, mostly by the Young family, but this tree will stand firm in his memory for years to come!
