GSROC extends our heartfelt appreciation to 6th Graders from Hewes Middle School (North Tustin) for their hard work and compassion. These students chose to support GSROC for their community service project and learned about how to reduce pet overpopulation. The students toured our boarding kennel, and visited an adoption event so see how prospective adopters are interviewed before matched with dogs to adopt. To raise funds and awareness, the students conducted a school-wide Shoe Drive with amazing results! They successfully collected 197 pairs of shoes, which will recycled for cash to support our dogs! We feel proud and appreciative to have been chosen by these very caring students. We hope that they will become a future generation of animal welfare advocates!
Thank you, Hewes Middle School 6th Graders!
