A FRESH START FOR DESERVING DOGS – Kern Rescue Part 3

The third shepherd that GSROC committed to rescuing from the Kern facility was known as “C.D.”, short for “Crazy Dog” because he had chewed his own tail off due to the stress of captivity in tight, isolated quarters. As we all know, there is no worse torture for German Shepherds than to deprive them of human interaction…yet this is the hell that all of the Kern shepherds had been forced to endure. “C.D” was scared to walk away from the security of his cage, but after a few minutes, his excitement and curiousity got the better of him and he began tugging on the leash to see what was outside of the prison camp walls. Miraculously, C.D. (now known as “Cool Dog”), Caesar, and Shy Boy rode beautifully together without being crated, side by side in the back of an SUV.
