For the past 6 years, GSROC has participated in an annual outdoor art installation to commemorate Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) celebration in Los Angeles’ Grand Park. Artists from all over Los Angeles construct colorful displays to pay homage to the cultural event. GSROC is the only humane group that has had the honor of participating. Animal lovers are invited to display photos and tributes to honor departed pets that have touched their lives.
Not surprisingly, this year’s display was a crowd favorite, drawing viewers of all ages. We even had a visit from LA County Supervisor Hilda Solis, who commended us on our beautiful presentation!
