When GSROC learned of Joe Fuller’s quest to raise $1,000 to help fight canine cancer, we knew instantly that we wanted to help. A motivated 11-year-old who had recently lost his beloved shepherd to lymphoma, Joe planned a special tribute walk to honor “Si” and to raise money to help find a cure for the disease that claimed his friend’s life. Joe set an ambitious goal of $1,000 and lobbied neighbors and friends to come out and help him achieve his goal. The walk took place on a beautiful, sunny day with more than 40 dogs participating. GSROC’s shepherds for adoption, as well as a number of GSROC alumnae dogs walked proudly in honor of Si, the dog that inspired Joe in this special fundraiser. We have learned that Joe raised significantly more than his initial financial goal! We salute him in his efforts to make a difference for deserving dogs! Please go here to read more:
