Our precious 6-month-old Valentino fought long and hard to overcome the health challenges that Life dealt him. First, he underwent a complex surgery to repair a broken leg that had gone untreated at a local animal shelter for over a week. We realized that Valentino was in pain and we immediately called up on our orthopedic specialist to correct the break. Just as we thought that Valentino was out of the woods, he contracted a severe case of pneumonia and was hospitalized for weeks. Unfortunately, Valentino’s tiny body was not strong enough to battle the illness and he crossed the Rainbow Bridge without having had a home of his own.
