2 year old Koko is looking for a fresh start with a family that is familiar with the energy, intellect and power of a Belgian Malinois. You see, Koko is a busy girl, busy, busy, busy – just like all malinois are. She is happiest when she has a job to do. She can also jump really high and likes to do that to get your attention. Koko is NOT a couch potato and is not meant for a family who is not active.
Koko is a smart, smart girl. She loves to learn. Koko also likes squeaky toys and kong toys. She will do best in a home without small dogs. Like many malinois dogs, she has a very strong prey drive.
Koko loves to be brushed and will happily sit by your side as long as you brush her. She wants to look her best at all times. And yet, she really doesn’t like to pose for photos. It’s as if, once she knows she is looking good – she doesn’t have time to get her picture taken – she is off doing something else.
Koko is shy when she meets new people, but has made friends with some of our volunteers. This girl is very athletic, like most Malinois are. She needs a secure fence of 6 feet or higher in her yard. She also requires lots of exercise and stimulation. Koko is happiest when she is working, so a job of her own is essential.
