Gwen and two other siblings were dumped at a high kill shelter due to moving. These noble and loyal shepherds were treated like an old pair of shoes they no longer wanted. All three shepherds were extremely thin and running out of time at the shelter. The young sibling was adopted but Gwen and her older 10 year old brother were overlooked.
A very caring person bailed them out on their last day. Unfortunately her senior alfa female decided she didn’t want a younger sister and attacked Gwen on two occasions.
Poor Gwen is once again looking for her forever home. She is such a friendly and sweet girl and deserves a happy ending with a loving forever family. She is still very thin and her fur recently shaved due to foxtails. Once her fur grows out and she gains weight, she will be around 75 lbs. She gets along with goats, horses, other dogs and cats.
