Beautiful Reina is a 1 year old Belgina Malinois. She was hit by a car and left to die with a fractured pelvis and a dislocated hip so severe that it requires surgery to reset it. A kind animal lover her found her at the side of the road and took her to the animal shelter. The amount of pain this poor girl is enduring is tremendous!
GSROC heard of her plight and rushed to save her to repair her Her lacerations were treated by the shelter staff and their vet has indicated she will need surgery to repair her pelvis and her dislocated hip
Our budget is strained beyond belief, but we could not turn our backs on this sweet girl who is enduring terrific pain. She will be seeing our vet to determine the type of surgery she needs.
UPDATE: 5/21/2014
Our poor girl has 2 fractures and a dislocated hip! We can only imagine the pain she suffered. She had surgery today and is resting comfortably.
UPDATE: 6/13/2014
They have moved her to a larger kennel so she can move around more. They are doing passive range of motion on her hip so she will bear more weight on it. She is sling walked and on
crate rest. She can go home if she can go someplace that can keep her quiet and
do the range of motion and sling walk her. She
is very cooperative and does whatever they ask her to do.
