Cooper is housebroken, enjoys his quiet time, and absolutely lives for belly rubs and one-on-one attention. In fact, he loves being doted on—it makes him feel safe and special. This intelligent boy has strong opinions and thrives with structure, boundaries, and a predictable routine. Cooper loves zooming around like a puppy, chasing toys or playing “Psych!”. When he’s sure of his welcome, he’ll lay next to you on the couch and watch tv and even cuddle. This boy has lots of love to give!
Cooper is a strikingly handsome Shepherd who’s been on a journey of growth and healing. When he first came to us, the big world was a scary place for him. He hadn’t been socialized and was unsure how to navigate it all. But with time, patience, and professional training, Cooper has made incredible progress.
He’s not a dog for first-time owners—he needs an experienced, confident human who understands Shepherds and can continue to reinforce the skills he’s learned. Because of his sensitive nature, Cooper will do best in an adult-only, calm, and quiet home where he can continue to blossom at his own pace.
He’s not looking for dog parks or busy households—just someone who sees the special soul behind those eyes and is willing to give him the steady, loving home he’s never had. We think it’s his turn!
