Indy’s story began with uncertainty — abandoned and left to fend for himself, he learned to be cautious of the world. It took time and patience to bring him to safety, but now that he’s under our care, Indy has discovered what it means to feel safe, loved, and even playful. But GSROC has been caring for Indy for 2 years while he awaits adoption and we think that’s much too long and it’s his turn now.
This shy and sensitive boy takes his time figuring things out. Sudden movements or loud noises can make him nervous at first, but give him space and quiet, and you’ll see the sweet dog underneath. Once he begins to trust, Indy is incredibly gentle and chill — the kind of pup who just wants to be near you, quietly soaking up the calm. Indy is learning what toys are and how to have fun! Watching him open up is a gift — Indy is the kind of dog who rewards your patience with deep, lasting loyalty. His soul is in his eyes!
Indy is a small, mixed breed boy who would thrive in a quiet, adult home with a secure yard, patience and LOVE. Indy isn’t the dog who’ll greet you with tail wags on day one — but he is the dog who will grow into your shadow, your soft place to land, your quiet, goofy companion for the long run.
