Luka’s story is one of resilience and second chances. While living in a homeless encampment, a fire broke out, putting him in immediate danger. Thankfully, compassionate animal lovers stepped in to bring him to GSROC, where he is now safe and beginning his journey toward the loving forever home he deserves.
Now that he’s settling in, Luka’s vibrant personality is impossible to miss. This bright, energetic boy is packed with intelligence and has all the drive and enthusiasm you’d expect from a dog with classic blue heeler energy. He’s always ready for action, whether that means playtime, exploring, or figuring out what’s happening around him — his sharp mind is constantly at work. Luka is also wonderfully social with other dogs and would likely thrive with an active canine companion who can help match his pace.
Beyond his endless energy, Luka has a hilarious, goofy side that keeps everyone around him smiling. He’s the kind of dog who brings both excitement and laughter wherever he goes. Luka will do best with an active adopter who understands the needs of a smart, high-energy dog and can provide plenty of exercise, enrichment, and structure.
