Shadow is a laid-back guy who enjoys the company of other friendly dogs.

Shadow arrived at the rescue with his buddy Diesel, and while the two aren’t bonded, they love a good play session together. Like his name suggests, Shadow is a true Velcro dog — once he decides you’re his person, he’s not leaving your side. He may take a moment to warm up to new faces, but his hesitation quickly melts away and he forms deep, loyal bonds with the people he loves.

Shadow does well with other dogs and has plenty of energy to spare, making him a great companion for an active household. He’s still working on his leash manners, so a strong, confident handler who can offer structure and consistency will help him reach his full potential. With the right home, Shadow is ready to be the most devoted dog you’ve ever had.

Home Visit

WWe require a home visit prior to any dog being placed. In some cases, we may accept a virtual home visit using photos and videos.

Adoption Donation for All Dogs and Puppies:

$495

This donation is tax-deductible as allowed by law and helps to offset the costs that we have incurred for the dog’s care and housing during his or her stay with our group. The minimum adoption donation does not entirely cover the investments that we have made in the dogs, so if you are in a position to give more, we would be honored to receive your additional donation. All adoption donations go directly toward the needs of our dogs.

All dogs adopted through GSROC are spayed or neutered, current on their vaccines and de-wormed. Because the minimum Adoption Donation rarely covers the costs associated with each dog, we ask that adopters who are in a position to give additional funds do so at their discretion.
